Agents

Agents is under Tangilla Data + MLS in the left-hand menu. It holds your member agent records — names, contact details, photos and the office each belongs to.

These records come from Tangilla. They are not typed in here, and most of what you see cannot be edited. That's normal.

Where the information comes from

Agent records arrive automatically from Tangilla on a daily schedule. Open any agent and you'll see, in the sidebar:

Field What it tells you
Tangilla Person ID The agent's reference in Tangilla
Last Synced When this record was last updated from the feed
Source Tangilla or Manual

What you can and can't change

Greyed out means synced. Name, member IDs, office, member type and status among them come from the feed and are rebuilt on each sync.

Correct these in Tangilla, not here. A change typed into a synced field is replaced the next time that agent updates — the fix has to happen at the source to last.

Two fields are the exception: Email and Mobile are visible only to signed-in staff (they're hidden from the public API as an anti-scam measure), but they're still owned by the sync the same way as everything else.

Who can edit

  • Admins and Editors can update an agent record.
  • Authors cannot.
  • Only an Admin can create or delete one.

You should rarely need to create an agent by hand. If someone is missing, they're almost always missing from the feed — check Tangilla first.

If an agent is missing or wrong

  1. Check Tangilla. If they're not there, that's the cause.
  2. Check Last Synced on a few other agents. If everything is days old, the sync may not have run — see Running the data syncs.
  3. If Tangilla is right and the CMS still isn't after a sync has run, contact support.

Photos

An agent's Headshot comes through with their record when Tangilla provides one. If a photo is missing or out of date, it needs updating in Tangilla to flow through here.

Where this appears on the website

Agents appear in the agent directory at /search/agents.
