News
News is under Content in the left-hand menu. It holds the news articles shown on your website.
There is no draft for News. As soon as you click Save, the article is live. There's no preview-before-publish step — check it on the site after saving if you want to be sure.
Adding a news article
- Click News in the left-hand menu.
- Click Create New.
- Type the Title.
- Fill in a Description — the short text shown on news cards and listings.
- Set the Publication Date and, if it should stop showing after a certain date, an Expiration Date.
- Upload a Card Image — required, and it's what shows in every news list on the site.
- Choose a Category (see Categories).
- Build the article body under the Content tab (see below).
- Click Save.
The article body
The Content tab uses the same block-based editor as Pages, but with a smaller set of blocks: Text Section, Image Left/Text Right, Image Right/Text Left, People Cards, FAQ Section and Accordion. See Page blocks for what each does. Everything else in the block library — listings, housing reports, forms and so on — isn't offered here.
There's also a right-hand side panel (same as Pages), where you can add a Table of Contents, Related News, Related Events or Links block.
The sidebar checkboxes
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Homepage Visibility | Show this article in the homepage news feature |
| Spotlight Visibility | Show this article in a spotlight/featured slot |
| Member Only | Hides the article from visitors who aren't signed in on the website |
| Tags | A multi-select tag list |
Categories
Pick a category to group the article for filtering — see Categories. Unlike Documents (which uses a free-text Tags field instead), News uses the shared Categories list.
Editing or removing an article
Open it, make your change, and click Save — the change is live immediately. Deleting is permanent and any link to that article stops working, including any Redirect you'd need to add separately if the address needs to keep resolving.
Where this appears on the website
News articles appear at /news/ followed by the article's slug. A News List block placed on a page is what shows a filterable list of them — see Page blocks.
